AI Headshot Pro

AI headshots, explained honestly

What AI headshots do well, where they fall short, and how to judge a generator before you pay for a set.

AI headshots are now good enough for most professional contexts, and they are also easy to oversell. These pages set out what the technology actually does, where a photographer is still the better answer, and how to evaluate a generator on your own photos.

Where a comparison names another product, the claim is limited to what can be verified: what the tool is for and how it is priced. No invented ratings or reviews.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do AI headshots look real?

At the sizes a headshot is displayed — a directory tile, a LinkedIn photo, a badge — a well-generated portrait is indistinguishable from a studio photo. Looked at closely, the differences are in the fine detail of hair and skin, which is not where headshots are viewed.

Is it dishonest to use an AI headshot?

It is a photograph of you, relit and restyled — the same thing a studio does with lighting and retouching. What would be dishonest is a portrait that does not look like you, which is why the best generators work from your own photos.

Can I use an AI headshot for a passport or visa?

No. Official documents have strict requirements about the capture process itself — no editing, specific background and framing — and a generated portrait does not meet them. Use a dedicated passport photo service for those.
