Amazon A+ content images

The main image wins the click; A+ content wins the sale. It is the only part of an Amazon listing where you control the layout.

What A+ content is for

A+ content sits below the buy box and above the reviews. It exists to answer the questions that a buyer would ask a shop assistant: what is it made of, how big is it, what comes in the box, who is it for.

Because it is laid out in modules rather than a grid of thumbnails, the images can be larger and more informative than the listing images — which is exactly why they convert.

  • Standard image modules: 970 x 600 px for a full-width banner.
  • Four-image modules: 220 x 220 px per tile.
  • Comparison modules: 150 x 300 px per product.
  • Keep the aspect ratios exact — Amazon rejects or crops mismatched images.

The rules that get a module rejected

Amazon reviews A+ content, and the common rejections are about claims rather than images: pricing, promotional language, guarantees, shipping claims, and references to competitors or to Amazon itself.

On the image side, the recurring problems are text baked into an image that makes a claim, and images that do not match the product. Keep the claims in the text field where the review process expects them.

  • No prices, discounts or promotional language in the images.
  • No guarantees, warranties or shipping claims.
  • No competitor references, no Amazon branding.
  • Images must show the actual product, including its packaging.
A+ content rules are enforced per marketplace and change. Check Seller Central before you build a module.

Producing the image set

A+ content needs several image types from the same product: a wide banner, square tiles, a detail shot, a lifestyle shot and often a what's-in-the-box flat lay. That is a lot of crops from one product, which is why the practical approach is to shoot once with generous margin and generate the rest.

Zenith AI – Product Photo produces the clean cut-outs and the styled scenes, and you export each at the module's aspect ratio — so the same shoot supplies the main image, the A+ modules and the brand store.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What size are Amazon A+ content images?

The standard full-width module image is 970 x 600 px, four-image modules use 220 x 220 px tiles, and comparison modules use roughly 150 x 300 px per product. Match the aspect ratio exactly, because Amazon crops or rejects mismatched images.

Can I put text on Amazon A+ images?

Text is allowed on the image in some module types, but not claims about price, promotions, guarantees or shipping. Those get modules rejected. Keep commercial claims in the text fields and let the image show the product.

Do A+ images have to be different from the listing images?

They can be the same photographs in different crops, which is the efficient way to do it. A+ modules are larger, so the images need to hold up at full width rather than just at thumbnail size.

Does A+ content actually improve sales?

It answers the questions that otherwise become returns or unanswered queries, which is why Amazon makes it available to brand-registered sellers. The modules that work are the plain ones: materials, dimensions, what is included, and who it is for.
