Supplement product photos

A supplement photo is a label photo. If the buyer cannot read the ingredient panel, the serving size and the count, the listing does not sell.

Making the label readable

Supplement labels are dense: brand, product, flavour, serving size, count, ingredient panel, certifications. Buyers zoom, and a label that is out of focus or distorted by a curved bottle is a lost sale.

Shoot the front panel square on, then the back panel square on — not at an angle, where the curve of the bottle stretches the text. If the bottle is round, photograph the panel flat by placing the bottle so the text is parallel to the sensor, or photograph the label separately on a flat surface.

  • Front panel square on, with the product name and count legible.
  • Back panel square on: the ingredient list and the serving size.
  • The certifications, if they matter in your market.
  • A straight-on shot of the tub or pouch, since curves distort text.

Compliance in the image itself

In most markets a supplement image may not carry a health claim that the label does not carry. That means no 'boosts immunity' badge, no 'clinically proven' overlay, and no before-and-after imagery in the listing photo.

The safe composition is the product, cleanly photographed, with the label doing the talking. Text overlays in this category are a regulatory risk in exchange for very little conversion gain.

  • No health claims, badges or superlatives in the image.
  • No before-and-after body imagery.
  • No implied medical endorsement — no white coats, no stethoscopes, no clinic settings.
  • The label is the claim; photograph it accurately.

Clean product images from a kitchen table

Supplement brands are usually small operations, and the photography happens on a kitchen table with a phone. Zenith AI – Product Photo removes the background and relights the product, so a tub shot on a table becomes a clean white listing image — with the label untouched and legible.

Generate a styled version as well: supplements sell on lifestyle, and a tub on a gym bench or a kitchen counter with a shaker reads better in social than a white cut-out.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How do I photograph a supplement bottle so the label is readable?

Shoot the panel square on rather than at an angle, because the curve of a bottle stretches text. For round containers, turn the bottle until the label is parallel to the camera, and check the ingredient panel is in focus at full size before you move on.

What images does a supplement listing need?

The front panel with the product name and count, the back panel with the ingredient list and serving size, the certifications if they matter in your market, and a lifestyle shot of the product in use.

Can I put health claims on a supplement image?

In most markets, no — the image may not claim more than the label does. Avoid badges, superlatives and before-and-after imagery, and let the label carry the information. Check the rules for each market you sell into.

How do I make supplement photos look premium?

Consistent lighting, a plain background, square-on framing and no clutter. Supplements are bought on trust, and a clean, well-lit, legible label reads as a real brand rather than a home operation.
