Product Photo

Product photos for the way you sell

A dropshipper, a potter and a wholesale supplier need different things from the same photo. These pages are written for the seller, not the product.

The photography advice that suits a handmade ceramics shop is wrong for a dropshipper working through a supplier catalogue, and wrong again for a wholesaler who needs two hundred consistent images for a line sheet.

Each page below takes one seller type, explains what the business model demands from its images, and shows the shortest route to satisfying it.

FAQ

Preguntas frecuentes

Why does the business model change the photography?

Because it changes the volume, the source of the photos and what the image has to prove. A handmade seller needs to show the work; a dropshipper needs consistency across hundreds of supplier images; a wholesaler needs a line sheet that a buyer can read.

I sell on several channels. Which page applies?

The one matching how you source and sell, not the channel. Channels are covered in the selling-channel cluster; this cluster is about the operation behind the photos.

Can one workflow cover every seller type?

Largely yes: shoot or source an original, remove the background, relight, then export at each channel's size. What changes is where the originals come from and how consistent they have to be.
