Product photos for the place you actually sell
Every channel has its own image rules — the size it wants, the background it accepts and the crop it applies. These pages take one channel each and cover exactly what it asks for.
Marketplaces are unforgiving about images. A listing that fails the main-image rule can be suppressed from search, and a photo that gets cropped by the app can lose the part of the product that mattered. The requirements are not secret, but they are scattered across seller help centres and they change.
Each page below takes one channel, lists what it actually requires, and then shows the fastest way to get a photo that satisfies it — usually from an image already on your phone.

FAQ
Häufig gestellte Fragen
Do I need a different photo for every channel?
Not a different photo, but usually a different crop and background. A single well-shot original can produce a white-background marketplace image, a square social crop and a tall Pinterest pin. Shoot the original with room around the product so every crop has something to work with.
What is the safest background for a marketplace main image?
Pure white. Amazon requires RGB 255,255,255 on the main image, and most other marketplaces either require or strongly prefer white. Lifestyle and coloured backgrounds belong in secondary images, where they do help conversion.
How many images should a listing have?
As many as the channel allows. Buyers who cannot pick the product up use images to answer questions — scale, texture, what is in the box. Most channels allow between eight and twenty-four, and listings that use them convert better than listings with one.
